JBL Go Bluetooth Speaker review – is Harman’s mini portable speakers. It has been around for quite a while and was announced way back at CES 2015.
After seeing a lot of positive review about the JBL Go Bluetooth speaker, I went ahead and order one online through Lazada since it was on a promotion at that moment (999.00 Pesos). Mall price though could go from 1,500 pesos or higher.
As of writing, it has 881reviews and a score of 4.6/5. That tells a lot!!
With a dimension of 68.3mm x 82.7mm x 30.8mm, this device can fit the pocket very easily. It’s also light and easy to carry around. The only downside is the sharp corners which is annoyingly felt when holding the speaker. The JBL Go has a strap hook for those who would like to hang the device or carry it around on a strap. It comes at 8 different vibrant colors: Black, Blue, Grey, Orange, Pink, Red, Teal, and Yellow. It has the perfect design for anyone looking for a portable mini Bluetooth speaker.
There is an LED light that indicates certain information:
The 3.5mm audio input jack is plug-n-play, no need to switch modes on the speaker (Unlike other Bluetooth speakers) for it to recognize the audio source. Which is great!
For it’s size, it’s unbelievable how the JBL Go performs. This device outputs insane quality sound Despite of having an output of only 3.0W from the 40mm Transducer. Full of bass and clarity and even at Max volume, the sound does not break at all! I brought it outside for testing and even outdoors, the speaker is easily usable. This is looking great for mini parties or gathering when your short of a full sound system setup. Streaming high quality audio is seamless as well as the device has Bluetooth 4.1.
Battery life lasted for about 6 hours for me at 75 percent volume, which is 1 hour more than their advertised longevity. You won’t really have issues with battery life even though it is rated only at 600mAh. When you need to being the device outside, take note that it takes 1 hour and 30 mins to fully top the speaker’s battery which holds true for me whether I use a quick or slow charger.

It’s a very well rounded Bluetooth device that performs really well! nothing comes close to competition in terms of its price. A Good sounding speaker like this would normally cost you 1,500 pesos and upwards. With rich bass and loud output at a very compact size, you definitely cannot go wrong with this. Can I recommend it though? Absolutely yes! You can check it out here.
